Harvest Moon

The moon stayed whole
For three nights
Like a beacon in the dark.
But what good are beacons to blind men?

The blind man complained
Of dark knights and flights
And lost his way to the sea
But what good is the sea to carriages?

The carriage waited impatiently
For the beauty to board
dressed for a musical soiree.
But what good is music for deaf ears?

Yet, that night when the blind man
Kissed my ear on a full moon
Sitting in a carriage by the sea
It was a jigsaw puzzle put in place.
